Update on COVID Prevention Measures
A huge thank you goes out to all 菠菜网lol正规平台 students and families for your patience and perseverance as we continue to implement evolving pandemic guidance from local and state health officials. After the Monday holiday, 菠菜网lol正规平台 will begin following newly updated guidance issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). That guidance is summarized below, along with some important reminders and updates.
Contact Tracing and Home Testing
Starting the week of Jan. 17, when a positive case is confirmed in a classroom, all students in that class will receive an exposure notification.
By Friday, Jan. 21, each 菠菜网lol正规平台 school will distribute a box with two COVID-19 antigen rapid tests to students in grades K-12. After the first test kit distribution, additional kits will be distributed home with each student within two weeks.
COVID-19 tests are recommended for your child when you receive a notification that your child has been exposed.
When testing your child due to an exposure, tests are recommended for use three to five days after the exposure.
If the home test is negative:
No further action is required. The student may return to school.
If the home test is positive:
Keep your child home and notify the school.
If a student has tested positive for COVID-19, before returning to school, they will still need to produce a negative test administered through a medical entity such as the local health department or a local pharmacy.
Please note that at-home testing also is separate from the continued testing that is taking place for students participating in 菠菜网lol正规平台 sports and athletics. These students will continue to be subject to testing as per the recommendations of CDPH.
Community/Household Exposures
These students continue to be eligible for shortened home quarantine, which can end after day seven if the student tests negative on or after day five from the date of the last exposure.
